A Blog Grand Opening!

We are so excited to announce the Grand Opening of the new Expanding Wisdom. Three years ago I started the Expanding Wisdom blog as a place to post the classes I was teaching and maybe a random article a couple times a year.Since then I have almost completed the CiRCE Apprenticeship, have learned more, and been transformed more than I could ask or imagine. I attribute my transformation to the pursuit of the good, the true, and beautiful through the Christ-centered liberal arts. I have decided to commit to helping others tap into these same restorative powers for themselves and their home schools. That is what this blog is all about. Expanding Wisdom; A Christian Classical Homeschooling Blog.

We are Expanding Wisdom.

• We discuss and answer questions about the various aspects of homeschooling classically. We work to help navigate curriculum and resource choices. We also create our own rich and real content and resources that helps make the Christian Classical tradition accessible to more parents and students regardless of learning style and personality. Some of the resources you can look for are: articles, e-books, curriculum ideas, school-day organization ideas, curriculum & book reviews, how to start a Christian classical co-op, and more.

We are Extending Grace.

• We are real and we have great days, bad days, don’t get anything done days, speak sweetly days, yell and have to repent days, ugly cry days, hallelujah days, productive days, and love days. We don’t pretend to be elitist, perfect, or having it all together. We accept the reality that we are imperfect and broken. We also bravely-and sometimes madly-accept the reality that we are made in the image of God and there is an ideal worth moving towards, even though we won’t fully get there until we see our Savior face to face. We also believe we can help our kids along this same path by setting the good, the true, and beautiful before them each day.

We are working hard to have the new Expanding Wisdom ready for launch day on Sunday June 1st. Some of the changes are being made live right away to test them out, so please don’t mind our mess. The majority of what Expanding Wisdom will be won’t be seen until June 1st on the Big Reveal day!
